EB Contracts is currently seeking an experienced OFCI / M&E Project Manager for a major Data Centre construction project in Düsseldorf, Germany. This is a senior site‑based role focused on the delivery of project management services across Mechanical and Electrical disciplines, with a particular emphasis on OFCI equipment, vendor coordination, MEP delivery, procurement, installation, commissioning, and project‑critical plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing MEP project delivery on a major Data Centre construction project.
- Supporting procurement and delivery strategy for OFCI and MEP equipment.
- Coordinating with vendors, MEP contractors, consultants, and the general contractor.
- Ensuring MEP design, procurement, installation and commissioning meet project specifications, budget, and programme.
- Monitoring procurement, delivery, installation, commissioning, and site progress.
- Carrying out design reviews of drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Undertaking regular site walks to monitor safety, quality, progress and corrective actions.
- Tracking non‑conforming works and driving preventative and close‑out actions.
- Ensuring MEP installation is fully coordinated and optimised on site.
- Reviewing technical submittals, method statements, variations and potential delays.
- Supporting change management and project reporting.
- Leading and mentoring project team members where required.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in Data Centre facility maintenance, operations, commissioning or project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment within Data Centre environments.
- Experience with OFCI equipment, vendor coordination, QA/QC and MEP project delivery.
- Sound understanding of engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Ability to work closely with vendors to ensure on‑time delivery and installation of critical plant and equipment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and commercial awareness.
- Strong ICT skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A methodical and structured approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a project team.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Eligibility to work in Germany.
Package: Circa €250,000 per annum, all found.
