Job Description

The Observability and Event Management Architect is responsible for designing and implementing a robust observability framework to ensure transparency in service operations. This role is crucial for maintaining system reliability and providing proactive information to prevent critical incidents in a modern service management environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a comprehensive observability framework covering cloud, traditional infrastructure, applications, and services.
• Support data ingestion from technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and cloud services (Azure).
• Monitor logs, metrics, traces, and user experience analytics for system performance insights.
• Integrate with platforms like Elastic, Azure Monitor, AWS Cloudwatch, and Netscout.
• Utilize AIOPS, event correlation, and suppression techniques to optimize incident management.

Team Collaboration

• Coordinate efforts between internal teams and external suppliers for transparency and proactive information sharing.
• Establish communication channels and review progress regularly.
• Provide access to monitoring data for service owners and teams.

AI-Driven Monitoring

• Design and maintain AI-powered tools for anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and self-healing workflows.

Service Management Practices

• Implement and promote practices aligned with ITIL, IT4IT, and industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Ensure integration with service management platforms like ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Computer Science or related field.
• Over 5 years of experience managing ITIL/IT4IT processes in a multi-vendor environment.
• Proven experience in IT operations, observability, incident, and event management.
• Strong understanding of modern IT Service Management.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk.
