Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Technician to assist with patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will perform ADLs, vital signs, I&O, EKGs, specimen collection, and assist with meals, transports, and procedures as needed.

Qualifications include High School or GED, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a high-stress environment. BLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Nursing Technician performs patient care and non-patient care functions within their scope of practice under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Duties include but are not limited to ADL’s, vital signs, I&O, performing EKGs, documentation of vital signs and I & O, simple dressing changes, specimen collection, assisting with meals, errands, transporting of patients, medications, or specimens, ambulating of patients, urinary drainage care (indwelling, external and suprapubic), assists with colostomy care, applies binders, weighs patients, assists health care providers with procedures and physical exams, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
