Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Critical Care Department (Night Shift). You will work within the MMG and an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-level patient care, under protocol with physicians.

The role requires an ARNP/PA credential, Florida license, BLS/ACLS, and experience in oncology or critical care. A $10K sign-on bonus is included and compensation reflects base pay ranges for the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree at minimum; master’s degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
• Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
• Active BLS and ACLS (must be AHA approved).
• Experience in oncology, critical care, emergency medicine and/or general internal medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating and optimizing patient care.
• Correlates data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.
• Formulates treatment plans within scope of practice.
• May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate.
• Documents patient care per medical staff rules.

Summary

Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center. Provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group, and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. As a medical provider that is not a physician but is licensed to diagnose and treat patients under protocol with a physician(s), the Nurse Practitioner assists physicians in the evaluation, management and treatment of patients. The Nurse Practitioner is involved in a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems, procedures and co-morbidities. Works independently within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of physician(s) under protocol(s).

Based in theCritical Care Department, this Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantposition provides critical patient care under the auspices of theMoffitt Medical Group (MMG) and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.

Position Highlights:

• Assists physicians with the evaluation, management and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems, procedures and co-morbidities.
• Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s).

Salary Range

$128,666.20 - $196,144.00

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
