Job summary

Samaritan Hospital - Macon, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across pediatric, adult, and elderly populations. • Reports patient condition to nursing staff during and at shift end.
• Operates equipment used in patient care.
• Represents the unit and hospital positively with visitors.

• Performs related duties as required.
• Assists Med/Surg staff with telemetry alarm monitoring.

Full Time 11:00pm - 7 am

Position summary: Performs the nursing procedures required for the physical and emotional comfort and safety of the patient, as directed by the licensed nurse in charge and as authorized by nursing service policy and procedure.

General purpose: Administers nursing care to patients

Role Qualifications

Education

• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred

Experience

• Previous experience desirable, but not required

Licenses/Certificate

• Certification as Nursing Assistant preferred

Position Responsibilities

• Assists with and provides direct patient personal care related to, but not limited to, activities of daily living

• Assists in maintaining a comfortable, orderly, safe and clean environment for patients, visitors and co-workers

• Is familiar with hospital and nursing service policies and procedures
