Qualifikationen

Vestas is currently seeking to fill a position to enhance our team of Noise & Tonality Engineers in Northern and Central Europe.

The WTG Engineering NCE department is responsible for supporting the regional Service and Construction organisations with technical knowledge to install and operate Vestas WTG onshore and offshore effectively. The department consists of four teams: Electrical, Mechanical, Blades and Civil&Noise Engineering.

The Civil&Noise Engineering team consists of 13 experienced, motivated, and skilled engineers located in Hamburg (GER) and Stettin (POL).

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse noise data from site and conclude on technical root cause.
  • Support the development, testing and implementation of noise and tonality mitigation upgrades in collaboration with the continuous improvement department and the product development department as well as external partners.
  • Optimise existing tools and processes to streamline case handling.
  • Technically contribute to meetings with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Some experience of working with noise, tonality and vibration, i.e. acoustics / NVH (candidates with relevant sound experience from other industries, such as those working with measurement service providers, are also encouraged to apply).
  • Bachelor/Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, i.e. a background in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, acoustic engineering or similar.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of data-analysis in Python.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both in English and German (verbally and in writing).
  • Knowledge of IEC 61400-11, FGW TR 1, TA Lärm, LAI Hinweise.
  • Knowledge of wind turbine operational behavior is welcomed.
