Germanystudy is seeking Data Engineers to prepare and combine large data sets from diverse sources for statistical analysis and to develop analytical solutions across the value chain with the Data Science department.

Responsibilities include implementing scalable data analytics software using Hadoop, Hadoop Hive, Linux, and related tools, and consulting operational units on analysis results. Travel willingness is required.

Qualifikationen

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification.
• In-depth understanding of data structures and data management.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in data modelling, data visualisation as well as data-intake and data-curation procedures/tools.
• Excellent capabilities in identification and preparation of data sources according to the specific requirements of the team in the data analytics environment.
• Very good knowledge in one or more SQL, SAS and R.
• Good knowledge of one or more programming and scripting languages.
• Data analysis, especially Hadoop (Hive)
• Linux experience in the implementation of Data Analytics applications.
• Experience in the insurance industry.
