As an Area Manager, you’ll ensure your site runs smoothly to meet customer demand. You will lead a team that maintains safety, efficiency, and high quality, while managing various projects across our network to enhance productivity.

2. Analyze and implement changes to sustain high quality and productivity
3. Manage projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and improve customer service quality within your area
4. Assess shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to enhance operational excellence
5. Collaborate with management to standardize shift practices

A day in the life

You will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on maximizing productivity. Your main responsibilities include fostering a safety culture, maintaining quality and shift performance standards, overseeing process improvements, and implementing changes. Your day will be varied, involving team management, operational tasks, process improvements, and contingency planning. You will also serve as a role model and mentor to new managers.

About the team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) handles heavy items like furniture and large appliances. Our team manages the entire process from fulfillment to delivery and returns, providing an extra level of customer care by unpacking, assembling, installing, and removing old items as needed. We focus on safety, productivity, and innovation, and are expanding our specialized fulfillment centers and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. Most team members work during the day, with some night shifts in delivery stations. Our team comprises professionals from operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and program management, all vital to our growth.

Grundqualifikationen

• Relevant experience in people management
• Experience communicating with stakeholders, including peers and leadership
• Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence decisions
• Proficiency in verbal and written English and the local language
