New Business Development Manager EV Batteries (m / f / d)

Huntsman offers a compelling opportunity for an enthusiastic New Business Development Manager (m / f / d) passionate about EV battery market development, based at our Regional Head Office.

Working at the EV Battery Center of Excellence, you will drive business growth through value chain engagement and identify new market opportunities for our Polyurethane business in Europe and North America. This strategic role involves expanding business opportunities and managing the technology innovation portfolio for our EV Battery sector. You will collaborate closely with global R&D and Strategic Marketing teams.

Fluency in German is essential; candidates should preferably be based in Germany or Belgium. We offer flexible work arrangements, with a strong preference for a hybrid model.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and expand relationships within the European and North American EV battery value chains.
  • Identify key players and decision-makers; establish relationships; validate and close opportunities.
  • Identify innovation projects for new EV battery applications and propose disruptive projects to the Innovation Governance Board.
  • Explore applications, understand trends, and map growth opportunities and materials.
  • Develop clear value propositions for MDI / PU / HPU within the market.
  • Identify business and technical requirements to capture growth and value.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams on high-impact projects.
  • Manage opportunity planning, milestones, and ensure timely progress until transfer to the commercial team.
Requirements:
  • Deep knowledge of the EV battery value chain and technology players in Europe; familiarity with North American market is a plus.
  • Degree with 3-7 years of experience in a commercial role focused on new markets and opportunities.
  • Fluency in English and German.
  • Proven success in creating new business opportunities and supporting product commercialization in untapped markets.
  • Ability to support project commercialization within our Innovation Pipeline.
  • Experience engaging across all organizational levels within a matrix structure without direct authority.
