New Business Development Manager Electrification (Western Europe region)

Position Summary

As the New Business Development (NBD) Manager Electrification, you will be responsible for driving battery sales by building relationships with key customers and exploring new market opportunities. Your role includes developing and executing strategic plans to expand profitable sales of batteries, chargers, motors, and controllers within Western Europe. You will focus on supporting growth in established markets like construction and agriculture, as well as high-growth sectors such as robotics and rail. A key part of your role involves engaging in technical discussions and providing expert guidance on electrification solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion: Identify and recruit new OEMs and technology partners to increase battery sales.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the engine sales team to introduce batteries to existing customers.
  • Technical Consultation: Provide expert advice on battery selection and installation for various applications.
  • Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and gross margin growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Keep informed on market and competitor trends to guide strategic decisions.
  • Sales Plans & Execution: Create and present tailored sales and marketing programs to acquire new business.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support company initiatives.
  • Expense Management: Manage budgets effectively to control selling costs.
  • Leadership: Mentor and guide team members in securing new business when needed.
  • Travel: Be prepared to travel up to 50% within the region.

Profile

  • Critical Experience:
    • At least 5 years in business development and sales, preferably with a technical background in electrification.
    • Proven success in developing business plans and securing new opportunities.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales trends and develop strategies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
    • Negotiating skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and handle competing demands.
    • Fluent in English and German.
  • Qualifications:
