Rocket Factory Augsburg is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure across multiple facilities. You will manage VMware and Proxmox-based environments and support Linux systems, automation, and DR readiness.

The role offers a collaborative, international New Space start-up setting with flexible hours and a weekly home-office option, plus opportunities to influence critical IT infrastructure and security practices.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
• Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, switching, network segmentation, and redundancy mechanisms.
• Practical experience with firewall administration, VPN technologies (including IPSec VPNs), routers, and managed switches.
• Experience managing VMware-based virtualized infrastructure in production environments.
• Knowledge of storage technologies, backup solutions, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues in a structured and efficient manner.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, operational processes, and infrastructure standards.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Your Tasks

Your Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• Industry certifications such as:Cisco CCNA / CCNP,VMware VCP,Fortinet NSE / FCP,Similar networking or infrastructure certifications
• Strong hands-on experience designing, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
• Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, switching, network segmentation, and redundancy mechanisms.
