Network Engineer (m/f/d) | Datacenter & Infrastructure

Company: Autowork GmbH

Location: Düsseldorf Benrath

Working time model: Full-time - hybrid with up to 2 days mobile working

Remuneration: €50,000 to €67,000 gross, incl. bonus if targets are met

Are you passionate about high-performance and secure networks and an expert in TCP/IP protocols? Whether routing, switching or firewalls - you know network infrastructures in data center environments and ensure that data flows reliably and securely.

Your Role With Us

• Operate & optimize networks: Support & maintenance of existing network infrastructures in our data centers - including switches, routers & firewalls with comprehensive TCP/IP know-how.
• Administer Cisco networks: Assist with the setup & configuration of Cisco networks, VPNs & firewalls (Cisco Firepower, AnyConnect). Initial error analysis & troubleshooting.
• Troubleshooting & support: analysis & rectification of network faults - e.g. with Wireshark & NetFlow tools.
• Network security & performance: support with the implementation of security guidelines (e.g. firewall rules, VLANs, access rights).
• Documentation & Optimization: Maintenance of network documentation & operating manuals. Support in the optimization of IT processes.
  
  

What You Bring With You

• Sound knowledge in network administration: At least 1-2 years of professional experience and training as an IT specialist for system integration or comparable studies.
• Technical know-how: Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing & switching. Ideally, you are already CCNA certified and would like to build on this knowledge.
• Troubleshooting & problem solving: You are experienced in analyzing problems in complex TCP/IP networks - you are no stranger to Wireshark and traceroute.
• Willingness to learn & ability to work in a team: You are motivated to develop yourself further & enjoy working with others to solve problems.
• Strong communication skills: You can explain technical issues clearly & have at least B2 German language skills.
