We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer (m/f/d) to oversee, guide, and support our IT environment. The role involves ensuring security compliance, providing network support, designing, and implementing solutions, and collaborating with various teams to meet technical and business needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in network design, support, and security, working within a support and project delivery team.

What your day will look like

• Design, configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN/Security solutions including Firewall, Wi-Fi, Routing, and Switching Technologies
• Support all network infrastructure, managing incidents and requests effectively
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues
• Deliver technical and business projects
• Interface professionally with internal employees
• Manage BAU network and security changes
• Maintain documentation for all networks
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and policies
• Monitor performance and capacity of network infrastructure

What you need to fulfill the role

You Must Be

• English speaking
• A European citizen living in Germany or Austria

You Must Have

• At least 2 years of relevant network engineering experience
• Knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., HSRP, NAT)
• Knowledge of switching technologies (e.g., POE, SFPs)
• Knowledge of firewall technologies (VPN, IPS, URL filtering)
• Understanding of network cabling options (e.g., OM4, Cat6)
• Experience in designing network topologies
• Experience in change management and BAU support roles
• Knowledge of cloud environments like Azure and AWS
• Understanding of DNS (public and private)

It Would Be Good to Be

• German speaking

It Would Be Good to Have

• Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Azure, AWS, and managing network architectures across multiple environments
• Knowledge of Active Directory, web security, encryption, and penetration testing solutions
