SSC Space in Gilching, Germany is seeking a Network Engineer (f/m/d) to design, implement, and secure complex network systems for our engineering services team. The role requires deep experience in network security, Cisco/Juniper equipment, and strong English communication.

You will collaborate across teams on scalable network projects and security improvements, with a focus on mission-critical ground systems.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Computer Science, IT or a similar discipline.
• Proven and strong experience in network engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in network security, network protocols, IP addressing, routing, switching, firewalls and VPNs.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar preferred.

Security: In line with security requirements for the missions of this position, the candidate must hold European citizenship. Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, IT or a similar discipline
• Proven and strong experience in network engineering
• More than 5 years of experience in network security, network protocols, IP addressing, routing, switching, firewalls and VPNs
• Experience in Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar preferred
• Experience in space missions ground system operations or maintenance
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
