The Opportunity

CACI is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design and implement enterprise network infrastructure supporting USAFRICOM mission requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering skills with expertise in software-defined networking, including SD-LAN and SD-WAN technologies, Cisco routing and switching platforms, while maintaining the highest standards of security and operational excellence in a classified environment.

Responsibilities
  • Project Engineering & Requirements Management
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather network requirements and develop technical solutions for mission-critical infrastructure
  • Author detailed engineering design documents, implementation plans, and technical specifications for network projects
  • Lead technical reviews and provide recommendations to CACI and government stakeholders
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including security, systems, and program management throughout project lifecycle
  • Network Infrastructure Design & Implementation
  • Design and deploy Cisco-based routing and switching solutions for LAN, WAN, and data center environments
  • Implement software-defined networking solutions including Cisco ACI fabric and SD-LAN/SD-WAN technologies
  • Plan and execute network capacity upgrades and technology refresh projects
  • Provide tier 2/3 escalation support for network-related incidents affecting mission operations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent work experience
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/Nexus configuration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of DoD networking standards and STIG compliance preferred
  • Strong engineering background with experience writing technical design documents and implementation plans
  • Experience working with project teams in structured engineering environments
  • CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, or equivalent Cisco certification preferred
  • Software-defined networking experience (SD-LAN, SD-WAN)
  • Cisco ACI experience

Pay Range

The proposed salary range for this position is: $82,700 - 173,900 USD.
