Role Purpose

• The role is accountable for the architecture, roadmap, and development decisions of network products, connectivity services, and functionalities integration in line with Vodafone IT & Digital strategy, assuring best practices and optimizing business value.
• Works in a team, close to the Product Owner following Agile methodology to transform the Network infrastructure and drives architectural coordination of complex and non-standard design aspects required to build physical and logical infrastructure across on-premises datacenters and public clouds. This includes analysis of requirements and matching them with key Network products and architecture capabilities such as security, reliability, high availability, load balancing, and redundancy.

What you’ll do

• Acts as technical authority for decisions related to network technologies, products, solutions, or software, translating the overall vision into target architecture and solutions, reference designs, and product specifications.
• Communicates with stakeholders and the business to provide direction, analyze demands, perform feasibility studies, provide validated inputs on business case development, and offer technology and architecture recommendations.
• Recommends products or customized solutions as appropriate to balance speed and quality in delivery, supporting deployment and implementation, including standards and management of exemptions.
• Ensures solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including risk and business value impact assessments.
• Recommends network technologies, automation frameworks, and digital enablers' evolution, supporting migration planning and software development to modernize legacy environments into new architectures and capabilities.

Who you are

• Strong background and experience in network services, with a broad understanding of IP protocols at all layers and extensive experience with routing, firewalls, network virtualization, and switching technologies, as well as public and private cloud IaaS and PaaS models (e.g., OpenStack, AWS, Azure).
• Network management experience in large-scale datacenter environments (e.g., Cisco ACI, SDN technologies).
• International experience and ability to work across distributed teams in complex environments; fluent in English.
• Deep knowledge of IT, data center technology, and process standards, with a broad technical knowledge across IT topics, data-driven decision-making, and relevant degrees or certifications (e.g., Network Professional Certifications at Expert level).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to motivate others, and experience leading technical aspects of data center networks.
• 7+ years of experience in designing, deploying, or administering network infrastructure solutions at an expert level.
