Qualifikationen

Field of activity

We are the joint data center of Deutsche Rentenversicherung in Berlin and Würzburg. With a focus on automation and software-defined networks in the data center environment, the "Network Planning and Network Operation" team provides secure and high-performance basic infrastructure for the pension insurance providers' program systems. Your tasks
  • Implementing, providing and further developing modern data networks
  • Analyzing, developing, and implementing IT concepts
  • Monitoring IT systems
  • Error analysis and troubleshooting
  • Coordinating, planning, and implementing IT processes
  • Planning, conceptualizing, and documenting IT operating processes
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring IT security and IT quality assurance measures
  • Participating in projects or working groups and committees within the DRV Bund and across institutions
  • Regularly assuming on-call duties to be ensured by the team
Your profile
  • A completed university degree (Bachelor's, Diplom FH) in the IT field or an equivalent qualification, such as an IT-specific qualification, completed vocational training in IT, or comparable practical experience
  • Several years of task-relevant professional experience in network operation and software development
  • Good written and spoken English skills (at least B1 level)
  • An independent, structured way of working, excellent analytical skills, and a strong team spirit are advantageous
  • Practical experience with current open-source automation tools or version management systems, knowledge of network planning, network automation, infrastructure-as-code, and intent-based networking are also desirable
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

The position involves occasional travel within Germany and participation in training and events outside Berlin or Würzburg.

Tasks may require participation in on-call duty and working outside regular hours in urgent cases (e.g., weekends).
