We are seeking a highly motivated Network Administrator (Level 2) responsible for managing and maintaining our global network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and security across all locations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer networking, proficient troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of WiFi technologies. While our core infrastructure primarily relies on Fortinet, we value a flexible approach and expect the candidate to be familiar with diverse networking technologies and solutions.

***Please note that this role will be based in Berlin, Germany, or London, UK. Applicants must have a full work permit for either location.***

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in training and mentoring peers to stay updated with the latest network technologies and best practices.
  2. Provide technical support for network issues, working closely with IT personnel and end-users to resolve problems.
  3. Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and reliability; optimize network performance as needed.
  4. Manage and maintain support tickets to meet SLA requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Develop documentation and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  6. Support network security analysis and incident response, collaborating with the security team to ensure compliance.
  7. Work with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and support IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on Fortinet networks.
  • Proficiency with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN endpoints.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across regions.
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS).
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Fortinet solutions and a good understanding of other networking technologies and vendors.
  • Experience working with project managers to implement projects.
  • Vendor-agnostic approach and adaptability to new technologies.
