We’re a family-owned NDIS organisation looking for two Support Coordinators to join our growing team.

You might already be an experienced Support Coordinator. Or you might come from disability, mental health, social work, community services, allied health, case management or another people-focused profession.

If you’re the right person, we can teach you Support Coordination.

What we’re really looking for is empathy, curiosity, sound judgement, initiative and the ability to build genuine relationships.

What the role is really about

• Behind every NDIS plan is a person.
• Your job is to help that person navigate the NDIS, understand their options, connect with the right supports and work towards the life they want.
• That might mean finding a hard-to-locate service, bringing a care team together, advocating when something isn’t working, helping someone understand their funding or simply being the calm person who helps work out what happens next.
• There are budgets, reports, case notes and systems to navigate — but we never want the system to become more important than the person.

You won’t be doing it alone

• Support Coordination can be complex work. We don’t believe in giving someone a caseload and leaving them to figure it out.
• You’ll join an experienced multidisciplinary team with access to Behaviour Support Practitioners, administration, management support and experienced professionals to bounce ideas off.
• You’ll have autonomy and trust, with people around you when you need them.

We’d love to meet you if…

• You’re someone who listens, asks good questions and genuinely enjoys working with people.
• You can stay calm when things become complicated, advocate respectfully when something isn’t working and take responsibility for finding a way forward.
• You understand that person-centred support means helping someone build the life they want, not the life we think they should want.
• Your background might include disability, mental health, community services, social work, allied health, case management, youth work, advocacy or complex client services.
• A relevant qualification and NDIS experience are highly regarded, but direct Support Coordination experience isn’t essential for the right person.

Already an experienced Support Coordinator?

• We’d particularly love to hear from you.
• If you enjoy complex cases, advocacy and multidisciplinary work but you’re tired of feeling like a number or working somewhere the participant gets lost amongst targets and paperwork, Footsteps may feel different.
• Your experience will be recognised, including through remuneration.

A few things we do need

• You’ll need Australian working rights, a current driver’s licence, access to a reliable vehicle and an NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain them).
• You’ll also need good communication and computer skills, the ability to manage your workload and a genuine commitment to participant choice, control and human rights.
