The National Sales Manager is responsible for achieving or exceeding the countries’ sales targets and service goals through the regional sales force/managers within the assigned region. They aim to increase Nobel Biocare’s market share while maintaining business expenses and local margin contribution goals within defined timeframes and parameters. The manager directs the activities of the region’s sales force in line with company strategy, ensuring and controlling the specified cost budget. Additionally, they must comply with all local laws and regulations, as well as corporate policies and procedures. The manager also ensures that the region is adequately staffed with motivated and qualified employees.
Planning & Execution Responsibilities:
- Define a regional/country annual/quarterly/monthly tactical sales plan aligned with company strategies and competitor strategies to ensure goal achievement and define corrective actions if needed.
- Review sales funnels of regional sales managers to ensure opportunities are progressing efficiently.
- Analyze regional sales trends and plan sales activities (visits, events, marketing campaigns, T&E activities, business plans, etc.) based on regional needs to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Manage the region within the allocated expense budget, optimizing resources and prioritizing spending based on ROI.
- Regularly review Sales Accounting Plans developed by regional sales managers and sales representatives, utilizing internal tools and CRM, and take corrective measures if necessary.
- Stay informed on products, technologies, clinical studies, competitive activity, and other relevant information.
- Implement company policies and procedures effectively at the territory level.
- Participate in relevant training and development initiatives.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Visit top existing and competitor customers periodically to strengthen relationships, ensure satisfaction, and negotiate sales terms.
- Develop relationships with key thought leaders and speakers to expand market share.
- Build relationships with dental chains and decision-makers to increase market share in this segment.
- Coordinate patient and customer marketing/sales activities to grow core business, in collaboration with Marketing and Training & Education departments.
- Oversee service levels for dental chain clinics provided by the regional sales team.
- Support local, national, and international events, trade shows, and meetings.
- Identify and communicate customer insights relevant to sales strategies.
- Assist sales representatives with difficult customer consultations.
- Maintain accurate logs of active and potential customers, using CRM for sharing information across the organization.
- Coordinate information regarding product issues, customer retention, and competitive strategies.
- Suggest improvements in pricing, discounting, return policies, and internal policies.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Act as a role model and ensure action follow-up within the team.
- Supervise and support activities of direct reports, including sales planning and execution.
- Set and manage annual performance objectives aligned with company strategy.
- Develop individual plans for talent management and succession planning.
- Provide training, coaching, and feedback through regular activities and co-traveling.
- Conduct weekly meetings to ensure communication, strategy alignment, and team motivation.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and off-boarding processes.
- Control and approve travel and representation expenses.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Experience in the dental industry is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Critical and analytical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of market trends and behaviors.
- This role can be based anywhere in Germany.
