Experienced and senior Commercial Leader within the Pharmaceutical (biotech) industry who thrives on high- level scientific exchange and the sense of reward achieved from brining first in class treatments to patients and the impact this has on theirs and their families’ lives. He/she will be leading a team of dedicated Therapeutic
Area Managers within the assigned region whilst being responsible for an own sales territory within that region at the same time. It is a role with an extremely high level of autonomy, visibility, and the unique chance to influence how Stemline is positioned in the DACH region
Responsibilities
Leads the identification and definition of key local prescriber groups relevant for Stemline's in-label products (segmentation/targeting) within the sales region assigned
Together with his/her team establishes and maintains professional relationships with key accounts and prescribers
Closely interacts with the DACH Medical and Marketing team to plan and implement the most effective product support measures ensuring correct product handling and application by the prescribing site
Together with his/her team develops and implements appropriate measures within the agreed strategic
objectives to drive in-label usage of Stemline's approved products within the right patient group as per respective label and prescribing information (account action plans)
Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the region and the territories within, projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and new products.
Regularly monitors regional performance within the region/territories with respect to actual versus targeted volume and sales, takes initiative and derives necessary changes in the approach
Coaches his/her team, including setting, and monitoring of goals and incentive
Takes responsibility for appropriate training, learning and personal development of his/her team
Establishes and maintains a positive working environment
Completes regional sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
Ensures full compliance in all customer engagement efforts according to Stemline's SOPs as well as local laws and regulations
Qualifications
Seasoned Leader, at least 10 years of experience in (biotechnology) pharmaceutical industry in field-based Sales roles with recent experience of Multiple Myeloma
Ideally with previous leadership experience in a similar role, capable of fitting into smaller team environments
Previous working experience in Hematology/Oncology and ideally within Orphan indications
Education in Life Sciences at Academic level or an MBA
Creative and curious, driving teams to find new ways and innovative solutions
Hands-on and can-do attitude
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Outspoken and positive attitude in benefit/price aspects of innovative pharmaceutical products
The role will be 100% field-based with large territories, requiring a high level of travel and mobility
