About the role:
We're launching an exciting new role at our Berlin location:
Studio Host. As a Studio Host, you'll be the welcoming face of Pirate for every guest who walks through our doors. Your mission is to deliver an amazing on-site experience, make sure customers feel supported, and keep things running smoothly. If you're passionate about music and people, this is for you.
What you'll be doing:
Every shift is a blend of hospitality, organisation, and music culture. Here's a snapshot of your role:
- Customer Champion - Greet and check in guests, verify bookings, and help them navigate the space.
- Studio Support - Reset studios between bookings, manage supplies, and help with minor tech issues.
- Ambassador on the Floor - Stay visible and available in the communal areas, offering support and gathering feedback.
- Safety & Security - Monitor CCTV in collaboration with our remote team, report incidents, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Clean & Tidy Vibes - Keep our spaces fresh, functional, and welcoming—from the lobby to the studios and everything in between.
- Team Player - Collaborate with the Site Manager and support with maintenance, customer concerns, and marketing events when needed.
What We're Looking For:
We're after someone who thrives in a people-first, fast-paced environment. You'll be confident working solo late at night, but also love chatting with artists, problem-solving on the fly, and being part of something bigger.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in customer-facing, front of house or concierge roles (hospitality, retail, events, etc.)
- Confident, warm, and approachable
- Strong multitasker who stays calm under pressure
- Basic understanding of music gear
- Reliable, responsible, and cool-headed in challenging situations
Desirables:
- Experience with incident reporting or facilities systems
- Familiarity with music spaces, studios, or equipment
- Awareness of Health & Safety standards (or happy to be trained)
- Comfortable assisting with basic tech troubleshooting
Location: Berlin Pirate Studios (Prenzlauer Berg)
Schedule: 8PM-Midnight (Thurs-Sun)
Pay: $22 per hour

This position will be a freelance contractor position- you will need self-employment status (Freiberufler) and be responsible for your own taxes.
