For one of our clients we are looking for a freelance Mountain Bike Footwear Designer
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project is about the design of Mountain Bike Footwear for SS27 late add and FW27 adidas FIVE TEN Footwear.
SERVICE DESCRIPTION
adidas provides all necessary products, information, contact details, documents, access to relevant systems and all other requirements in advance.
Therefore, a project briefing will be held from adidas to get the contractor’s understanding of adidas Five Ten identity / design creation process as well as concept presentations and storytelling. The presentation will be presented by adidas contact person which includes handover of necessary documents and products.
Briefing on Day 1:

• Seasonal product briefing by Marketing
• Consumer study identification and review
• Seasonal Outdoor Design Direction
• Seasonal communicated stories
• Milestone and Deadline/handover overview

The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the contractor:
Provision of concept presentations and product creation including shell pattern, tech packing and Color line arts based on the adidas Five Ten seasonal briefing and the adidas Five Ten identity.
Timing is based on the design creation calendar for SS27 and FW27.
CONCEPTUAL WORK ON adidas Five Ten Footwear for 5 shoes:

• Independent creation and provision of a PDF concept presentation in Adobe Illustrator for 5 product creations including production ready shell patterns, 2D tooling drawings and tech packing process based on the adidas Five Ten seasonal briefing and the adidas Five Ten identity.
• Outline of the story and the consumer insights in the concept presentation based on contractor’s expertise. Preparation/Creation of this project as part of a holistic offer for the adidas Five Ten head to toe wardrobe based on the briefing, following the creative direction and design principles for the brand.
• Preparation of the design of the products in 3 presentations and as shell pattern, 2D tooling drawings for 4 shoes, including Color line arts.
• Provision of an overview of the surrounding family architecture as Illustrator drawings for each shoe.
• Presentation = Illustrator file containing black, white, and orange design concept sketches, mood, materials overview, consumer insights.
  50 pages (10 each product) or/and equivalent with MIRO online presentations
  Shared on SharePoint via Teams to the x-functional meetings (Gutchecks & CR0 – see timelines)
• Presentation of concept online to the cross functional team including senior leadership team within the design milestone meetings (see Timelines)
• Selection of technically feasible construction techniques and control the quality of the production process based on pullovers and samples and supplier feedback provided by the adidas Five Ten/BU Outdoor development team upfront.
• Handover of 5 production ready techpack files (based on techpack file template), detailed sketches, Shell pattern, tooling 2D drawings and a material map.
