Zusammenfassung

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology is seeking an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to lead the development of high-precision modules. You will drive from concept to deployment, coordinating mechanical design, actuators, sensors, controls, software and metrology to ensure a reliable machine.

You will also plan milestones, manage risks, and support commissioning. Ideal candidates have a university degree in a technical field, strong mechatronics expertise, and proven experience designing

Qualifikationen

• University degree in a technical field (mechatronics, precision engineering, systems engineering or physics).
• Strong expertise in mechatronics, precision mechanics, actuators, sensors and control systems.
• Experience in developing and integrating complex modules for high-precision machines, preferably in semiconductor equipment or optical systems.

Aufgaben

• Drive the development of a mechatronic module from concept maturation through integration readiness and deployment to full functional machine.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary work packages across mechanical design, actuators, sensors, controls, software, metrology and system integration.
• Define and execute module design, interfaces, test strategies and verification plans for precise and reliable module performance.
• Plan and steer module development activities, including milestones, risks, dependencies, design reviews, integration steps and documentation deliverables.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting with focus on alignment, stability, repeatability and manufacturability.
• Act as technical project lead for a small specialist team, ensuring clear priorities and stakeholder alignment.

Your Role

• drive the development of a mechatronic module, from concept maturation through integration readiness and deployment to the full functional machine

Your Profile

• a university degree in mechatronics, precision engineering, systems engineering, physics or a comparable technical field
• strong mechatronics expertise, including precision mechanics, actuators, sensors and control systems, alignment concepts, vibration-sensitive assemblies and machine integration
• experience in developing, integrating and verifying complex modules for high-precision machines, ideally in semiconductor equipment, metrology, lithography or optical systems
• good understanding of requirements engineering, interface management, error budgeting, verification planning and structured technical risk management
• project management skills for planning work packages, tracking milestones, coordinating dependencies, moderating technical decisions and communicating status to stakeholders
