Mission Systems - Software Engineer (m/f/d) for Airbus, Manching

We offer exciting projects at our renowned customer Airbus Defence and Space, and we are looking for a motivated employee for the position "Mission Systems - Software Engineer" (m/f/d).

• Design and develop software products for the Aircraft and Ground Segment functions
• Provide data management solutions (networks, avionics, and open platforms)
• Manage aircraft sensors, plan missions, and/or manage weapons
• Insert state-of-the-art technologies in the implementation of new capabilities, matching the required safety, quality, and performance levels according to Airbus systems engineering processes and customer needs
• Document and verify the developed solutions
• Validate solutions by executing defined tests and test means
• Collaborate in project agile ceremonies as a team member supporting problem resolution, planning, and deliveries
• Participate in software lifecycle reviews and provide required data

Your profile:

• Completed studies in computer science, telecommunications engineering, or a comparable qualification
• More than 4 years of professional experience in computer science and aerospace
• Experience in software development is a must
• Requirements engineering experience is mandatory
• Model-based software lifecycle knowledge and basic knowledge of network management are required
• Experience working with agile methodologies and image processing knowledge are required
• Knowledge of GIS technologies and protocols like FTP/HTTP/Stanag is a plus
• Experience in backend development with Quarkus, software middleware (DDS), and containerization (Podman) is a plus
• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows, with Linux environment for development appreciated
• Very good knowledge of Java
• German language skills are recommended
