Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Werkstoffprüfer mit Kenntnissen in Metallographie und Qualitätssicherung.
• Erfahrung mit Luftfahrtmaterialien von Vorteil.

Aufgaben

Your Tasks

• Conduct quality assurance through microscopic and macroscopic assessment of components, materials (metals and composites), and thermal spray coatings as part of production control and development work.
• Prepare metallographic examinations according to the cut-up plan (sawing, embedding, preparation).
• Evaluate the results of structural testing, including macrostructure assessment, analysis of material defects, determination of remedial measures, and damage analysis.
• Perform macroscopic and microscopic microstructure analysis directly on components (swab etch).
• Create and evaluate replicas or 3D surface analyses to identify surface defects.
• Carry out and evaluate SEM examinations.
• Prepare and approve test reports in German and English.
• Coordinate results with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain and calibrate necessary equipment.

Your Qualifications

• Completed training as a materials tester (m/f/d) with good knowledge of metallography, materials, quality testing, metallurgy, and materials science.
• Flexibility and willingness to work at other locations, such as Peißenberg, with different teams and activities.
• Experience with aerospace materials is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of PC applications such as SAP and MS Office.
• Proficiency in German and English.
• Confident and engaging demeanor, responsible, efficient, able to work under pressure, flexible, and a team player.
