At MIKUTA, we are looking for a Merchandise Planner (d/f/m) to take ownership of shaping our product strategy and building high-performing assortments across categories. In this highly cross-functional role, you’ll translate data into direction—guiding product decisions that reflect both commercial insights and our brand identity. Founded in Berlin by Jacqueline Mikuta and Klemens Weiss, MIKUTA began in 2017 with a jewelry line and expanded into women's ready-to-wear in 2019. Today, MIKUTA is an independent fashion brand known for effortless design, premium feel, and a distinct point of view.

Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal.

About The Job

We’re expanding rapidly, and to support our Purchasing team, we’re looking for a Merchandise Planner who can shape our product strategy by balancing commercial insight with creative alignment. In this role, you’ll help ensure our collections meet both customer expectations and business objectives—turning data into direction and insight into product success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute and continuously refine the assortment strategy across categories, balancing data-driven insights with creative intuition.
  • Act as the key bridge between the buying and design teams, supporting daily decisions with clear product performance analysis.
  • Identify best sellers and slow movers through regular reporting and translate insights into recommendations for future product development.
  • Help drive the development of future best sellers by informing product and design decisions based on sales and customer data.
  • Work closely with design, buying, marketing and operations to ensure alignment on product and commercial goals.
  • Support purchasing budget development, through both performance analysis and design insights.
  • Ensure product strategy implementation, in what regards to product categories balance, price strategy implementation, right assortment at the right time.
  • Travel approximately one week every two months for alignment with PT team.

About You

  • Experience in product management, merchandising, or buying – ideally in the fashion retail industry, ideally you already have experience in the aspirational luxury fashion segment
  • Strong analytical skills – confident interpreting sales data and extracting actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak both the language of numbers and the language of design.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a commercial and customer-centric mindset.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 1 week every 2 months).
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (German is a plus but not required)
