Job Description:

MEP Project Manager - Data Centres - Frankfurt

We are currently partnering with a leading global consulting and engineering company that is looking for experienced data centre professionals to join their team. Our client works with major developers in the data centre space and requires an MEP Project Manager for their Frankfurt location.

Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to entities including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Their team includes experts in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.

Responsibilities:
  1. Managing and leading large-scale projects in a multi-stakeholder environment throughout the project lifecycle, supporting multinational clients in making optimal value decisions.
  2. Developing, leading, and managing the team during project development and delivery.
  3. Initiating projects with clients, coordinating stakeholder input, analyzing and appraising solutions, preparing project briefs & business cases, and securing approvals.
  4. Managing project controls such as planning, cost control, administration, and contracts.
  5. Working in an international context, with potential travel.
  6. Leading projects with short lead times.
  7. Coordinating with local culture and teams across Europe & Africa.
  8. Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
  9. Coordinating project resources including internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
  1. Degree from a Technical University (civil, mechanical, electrical).
  2. Over 6 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or relevant sectors.
  3. Familiarity with digital and automated design processes (BIM, CDE).
  4. Excellent command of English and local language of the office location.
  5. Experience with a design and engineering company is a plus.
