Company Overview : We are partnered with a prestigious construction consultancy who are looking for ambitious individuals to join their rapidly growing team responsible for delivering mission-critical projects in Germany & Europe. We are working with them to identify a highly skilled MEP project Manager, responsible for the delivery of the MEP scope on a Data Centre project in Hessen, Germany.

Project Leadership and Management :

  • Lead MEP projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that include detailed timelines, budget forecasts, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and adjust project plans as necessary to meet changing project demands and constraints.

Coordination and Communication :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, project management consultants, and owner’s representatives.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are aligned with client goals and project expectations from initiation to completion.

Design, Specification, and Compliance :

  • Oversee the design and specification of MEP systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Low Voltage, Fire Sprinkler), ensuring they meet the operational requirements of data centers.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to support informed project planning.
  • Ensure all MEP systems comply with local codes, standards, and regulations.

Installation, Testing, and Commissioning :

  • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring they are integrated effectively with other data center infrastructure.
  • Implement rigorous quality control procedures to maintain the integrity and performance of MEP systems.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

Risk Management and Optimization :

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with MEP system design and installation, implementing effective solutions to address potential issues.
  • Continuously seek and identify optimizations and alternatives, working collaboratively with the owner, designer, and project team to implement improvements.
  • Oversee quality assurance and occupational health and safety processes, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Profile :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PE, PMP) is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in the MEP field, with at least 2 years in Mission Critical Facilities projects (e.g., Data Centres).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts, including conditions, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal German and English.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel within Europe.
  • Ability to identify optimizations and implement them effectively with the project team.
