  • Full-time

Bosch Sensortec GmbH is a technology leader in sensing solutions based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and dedicated to the consumer electronics world. We develop and market key technologies for smartphones and tablets, hearables, wearables, smartglasses, augmented and virtual reality applications, gaming devices and many more. Our sensors improve people’s well-being and lifestyle and enable consumer electronic devices to sense the world around us. MEMS sensors are therefore an essential part of the foundation for a connected world. Bosch Sensortec GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH.

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual (m/f/d) who is interested in an engineering position in the field of integration and characterization of acoustic transducers in complex MEMS systems. In the role of MEMS Architect & Data Specialist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in the field of consumer electronics and IoT, and develop new applications for intelligent MEMS sensors and actuators.

You will be involved in the following activities:

  • As a MEMS Architect you are responsible for the project interface of MEMS design, characterization, data engineering, application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and system.
  • In close collaboration with laboratory colleagues, you analyze characterization and qualification data to derive insightful conclusions regarding transducer performance and reliability; you use interpretation, modeling, and mathematical evaluation techniques to identify opportunities for design and testing improvements, and effectively communicate your findings.
  • You contribute to the success with an in-depth understanding of MEMS transducers, including their underlying physical principles, topological design, and semiconductor technology, as well as the properties of the materials used.
  • You understand the use cases and sub-components of an acoustic system, including packaging, and embedded software.
  • You are responsible for creating comprehensive documentation of your data analysis processes, models, and results, and for presenting these findings to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Personality: Excellent interdisciplinary understanding and communication skills; customer-oriented with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset; high level of interdisciplinary comprehension.

Work approach: You work independently and with a goal-oriented mindset; you are analytic, structured, and organized.

Experience and expertise: Deep knowledge of system testing, MEMS components, and measurement systems; proficiency in data analysis using statistical software (e.g., Python) and experience with database querying languages (e.g., SQL) are highly desirable; several years work experience in the field of audio or MEMS design, MEMS characterization, system integration or measurement systems.

Languages: Fluent English as a must (C1) and advanced German (B2) language skills as a plus.

Education: You hold an M.Sc./Dipl. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Microsystems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field; PhD graduates with relevant experience are welcomed to apply as well.

We offer great opportunities for mobile working as well as different part-time models or job-sharing. Feel free to contact us.
