About the Role

A Mid-Sized oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company, with a strong presence in lung and breast cancer, is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support its medical affairs strategy in the South-East of Germany. Following the acquisition of an innovative biotech, the company is expanding its pipeline and strengthening scientific engagement across the region.

The MSL will serve as the primary scientific contact for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs), providing deep medical expertise, fostering peer-to-peer scientific exchange, and supporting evidence generation initiatives. This role requires strong collaboration with commercial and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of scientific strategy with business priorities, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with KOLs, academic institutions, and healthcare professionals in oncology (lung and breast cancer).
  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and timely scientific information in response to inquiries from HCPs.
  • Support regional medical activities including advisory boards, congresses, investigator-initiated studies, and non-interventional research.
  • Act as a bridge between the field and headquarters, providing medical insights to inform strategy, clinical development, and life-cycle management.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, market access, and clinical colleagues to support integrated cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations, SOPs, and industry codes of practice.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, or pharmacy.
  • Proven experience as an MSL or in a relevant medical/clinical function within oncology; prior focus in lung and/or breast cancer is a strong advantage.
  • Strong scientific acumen with the ability to engage in in-depth clinical discussions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in German and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and to navigate an evolving organization.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the South-East of Germany.
