MSL DACH – Neurodegenerative Diseases (gn)
Based in Germany, remote
Responsibilities
Reporting & Collaboration : Reports directly to the MSL Director Europe while collaborating with MSL colleagues across various European countries.
Field Work : Engage in MSL field activities throughout the DACH region. Introduce a comprehensive portfolio of biomarkers and nurture long-term relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in neurology, specialized research labs, academic institutions, and R&D departments in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
Strategy Deployment : Execute strategic plans to support the launch and commercialization of diagnostic products for neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular focus on biomarkers and assays.
Scientific Expertise : Serve as the scientific, laboratory, and clinical expert on neurodegenerative diseases for stakeholders and clients, ensuring the clear communication of complex scientific concepts.
Education : Collaborate with the Medical Affairs and Commercial Teams to educate and train end users, whilst gathering and providing crucial data, performance and field feedback.
Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams across Europe and the US—including marketing, sales, and R&D —to align strategies, tactics and exceed business goals.
Compliance : Guarantee that all activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal company policies.
Requirements
Background : An advanced degree (PhD or MD) in a relevant scientific field is preferred. A Master’s degree in a related life sciences discipline will also be considered.
Expertise : A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Medical Science Liaison role—or a similar scientific liaison position—is required. Experience within neurodegenerative diseases and a robust understanding of related biomarkers or lab diagnostics is highly desirable.
Experience : Demonstrated ability to engage and present effectively to various customers, introducing modern diagnostic technologies, innovative Lab or MedTech solutions, or Biotech / Pharma products.
Communication : Excellent communication and presentation skills with the capacity to engage and influence KOLs and other stakeholders. Experience in addressing both national and international conferences is essential. Fluency in both English and German is required.
Travel : Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across the DACH region.
