Position Summary

French Consulting is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Medical Office Clerk to support the 86th Medical Group at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clerical support that contributes to the efficient delivery of healthcare services in a military medical treatment facility.

This position requires excellent organizational skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining strict patient confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations.

Core Duties

• Greets patients/visitors at a front desk, information center or office setting. Answers mainoffice phone line. Directs telephone calls to appropriate section for assistance. Takesmessages as required.
• Arranges and schedules medical appointments and determines patient eligibility for services.
• Determine patient eligibility, schedule appointments, relay general instructions to patients, or
• make referrals to other sections.
• Obtains updates and files medical records as needed. Organizes and researches patient records, extract needed information, and review records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency within established guidelines.
• Ensures arrival of medical records prior to appointment(s). Initiates and locates patientmedical records as needed. Obtains documentation as requested by healthcare providers (testresults, or documentation not yet filed in records).
• Performs other administrative and clerical duties in support of the medical care andoperational support. Creates appointment schedules and templates in patient appointmentcomputer system.
• Conducts end-of-day process at close of business and resolves anydelinquent or pending appointments in computer system

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree: Diploma
• Education: High School or higher
• Experience: Three years cumulative overall experience in the following areas:
• a) Two years experience with U.S. Military Healthcare delivery system and benefits or civilianmanaged care medical/administrative environment and/or
• b) Two years working experience in a medical office or clinical environment and
• c) One year experience with MHS GENESIS
• Fluency in English
• Fully qualified typist 50 WPM
• General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, excellent communication and customer service skills
• General office administrative and clerical skills to perform receptionist duties
• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
• Medical terminology desired

DOCPER/SOFA/Logistical Support Status

This position is eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
