Role Overview

The Medical Equipment Technician I provides cost-effective maintenance on company and customer-owned medical equipment to ensure it functions properly according to manufacturer specifications. They perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs under the guidance of a qualified Biomedical Equipment Technician or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost-effective inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair services on various medical devices including beds, infusion pumps, and monitoring equipment.
• Complete all documentation accurately and promptly for billing and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff regarding equipment features and functionality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Basic computer skills; understanding of networks and device interaction.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours.
• Periodic travel support.
• Ability to lift or push up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, crouch, kneel, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
