Ferring+You

You will be the medical and scientific leader, and the face of Ferring with authorities, patient organizations, and external opinion leaders; as well, you will represent the cluster internally. You will lead a cluster of medical affairs team and their operations, while developing and engaging them. You are both a great people’s manager, you have a strategical mindset, and a hands-on approach.

Your day at Ferring

  • Leadership of Cluster Medical Affairs Team.

  • Medical/scientific leader and face of Ferring with authorities, patient organisations and external opinion leaders.

  • Interaction with external scientific and clinical experts in relation to cluster, regional and global activities.

  • Lead Medical operations in the Cluster:

    • Oversee execution by local medical team and where appropriate provide hands on.

    • In collaboration with cluster cross-functional teams create and implement strategic and operational plans in the cluster/country, in line with Ferring´s strategy.

    • Enable cluster/country achievement of Global Medical Affairs, regional and cluster targets.

    • Overall responsible for resource allocation and budget control for the Medical Affairs Department.

    • Compliance with GCP, SOP´s, guidelines and regulatory requirements within the countries/cluster.

  • Medical/scientific Input, oversight and execution of data generation activities.

  • Represent the cluster internally and provide Cluster/country input to Regional Medical Affairs Western Europe & Canada.

  • University Medical or Scientific degree.

  • Higher life science qualification (PhD, PharmD) optional.

  • Ideally Business degree (MBA).

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical Industry or Biotechnology Companies.

  • Significant experience in Medical Affairs, including design and oversight of clinical studies.

  • At least 5 years of management or leadership experience.

  • Current working knowledge of legal, regulatory and compliance regulations and guidelines.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and clinical operations.

  • Preferably experience of Fertility therapy area, Gastroenterology and/or Urology.

  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English.

  • Goal and result-oriented thinking and acting.

  • Strong analytical/conceptual thinking skills.

  • Familiar with industry standard tools.
