Medical Affairs Manager – Germany & Austria (Focus on Endocrinology & Rare Diseases)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the field of rare diseases? Do you bring a strong background in Medical Affairs and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment?

An innovative, international biopharmaceutical company is currently seeking a Medical Affairs Manager to support activities in Germany and Austria.

The Role

In this role, you will contribute to the development and execution of regional Medical Affairs strategies. You will engage with key stakeholders in the medical and scientific community, support publication planning, deliver scientific presentations, and help ensure the compliant communication of clinical and scientific data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement local Medical Affairs initiatives in line with global strategy and compliance standards
  • Support the development and review of scientific and non-promotional materials
  • Contribute to a local publication plan and scientific communication efforts
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, and Clinical functions
  • Actively engage with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals, with a focus on Austria
  • Provide scientific support at congresses and professional events
  • Collaborate with clinical trial teams and support investigator engagement
  • Gather and share medical insights with internal teams

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) in a relevant scientific field
  • At least 5 years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Experience in endocrinology, pediatric endocrinology, or rare diseases is a plus
  • Native-level German and strong English language skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 20–40%)
