Mechanical Supervisor

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the correct execution of the erection of mechanical parts and equipment, in accordance with the contractual time schedule, design, and technical requirements. The role involves achieving contractual milestones related to the erection phase and coordinating subcontractors.

Tasks

• Supervision of the installation of mechanical parts and equipment
• Checking the correct alignment and movements of the equipment
• Verifying that the erection company is carrying out the job according to the time schedule, design, and technical requirements
• Checking the planning of resources of the erection company
• Interfacing with engineering departments for issue resolution during execution
• Checking and signing off erection completion documents
• Managing vendors and contractors
• Attending meetings with the customer on work progress
• Managing relationships with the client and local authorities as required
• Coordinating with headquarters and subcontractors
• Preparing daily activity reports
• Providing technical assistance during trial and commissioning phases

Qualifications

• Leadership skills to coordinate, manage, and control mechanical/piping erection activities in industrial plants
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in constructing steel processing plants
• Knowledge of site erection and commissioning activities for steel plants is preferred
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate flexibility
• Willingness to travel worldwide
• Organizational skills, responsibility, and ability to work under pressure
• Open-mindedness towards new approaches and innovations
