Mechanical Supervisor

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the correct execution of the erection of mechanical parts and equipment, in accordance with the contractual time schedule, design, and technical requirements. The role involves achieving contractual milestones related to the erection phase and coordinating subcontractors.

Tasks include:

• Supervising the installation of mechanical parts and equipment
• Checking the correct alignment and movements of equipment
• Verifying that the erection company is adhering to the time schedule, design, and technical requirements
• Checking the planning of resources of the erection company
• Interfacing with engineering departments to resolve issues during execution
• Checking and signing off erection completion documents
• Managing vendors and contractors
• Attending meetings with the customer on progress
• Managing relationships with clients and local authorities as required
• Coordinating with headquarters and subcontractors
• Preparing daily reports on supervision activities
• Providing technical assistance during trial and commissioning phases

Qualifications and skills:

• Leadership skills to coordinate, manage, and control mechanical/piping erection activities in industrial plants
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in constructing steel processing plants
• Knowledge of site erection and commissioning activities for steel plants (preferred)
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Ability to work in a team and be flexible
• Willingness to travel worldwide
• Strong organizational skills, sense of responsibility, and ability to work under pressure
• Open-minded towards new approaches and innovations
