Qualifikationen

• Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung in der mechanischen Konstruktion, vorzugsweise im Maschinenbau.
• Erfahrung in der Erstellung detaillierter Modelle und Produktionszeichnungen.

Aufgaben

• Entwurf und Entwicklung von 3D CAD-Modellen für Roboterfahrzeuge und Komponenten.
• Zusammenarbeit mit Elektro- und Softwareingenieuren zur Gewährleistung der Systemintegration.

About the Job

We are seeking a Mechanical Robotic Engineer (m/f/d)to join one of our portfolio companies to create cutting-edge, unmanned ground vehicles for governmental and civilian applications. In your day-to-day work, you'll be involved in customer projects, payload integrations, and robot development, contributing throughout the entire product lifecycle from initial concept to production.

Join our portfolio company: A German dual-use technology company that develops unmanned ground vehicles to spearhead automation in both governmental and civilian use cases.

In this role, you’ll:

• Design and develop 3D CAD models for robotic vehicles, components, and payload integrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design decisions, bills of materials (BOMs), and production drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Solve complex mechanical challenges with a hands-on approach.
• Optimise designs for manufacturability, weight, durability, and serviceability in harsh environments.
• Support prototyping, testing, and production of robots and payloads.

Your Profile

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in machinery engineering
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
• Experience in creating detailed models and production drawings
• Familiarity with metal fabrication (sheet metal, CNC machining, welding, etc.)
• Strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Self-motivated and independent, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks
• Proven ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and solve complex mechanical problems in a fast-paced, real-world engineering environment
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Fluency in English, with German language skills being a plus

Please note that we are looking for support in the Munichoffice of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
