Oradeo Recruitment invites applications for the role of Mechanical Project Manager with strong IT skills for a data centre project in the Netherlands & Germany, working for a large international Mechanical & Electrical contractor. Oradeo Recruitment’s client is an international company with extensive experience across various construction sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, and Power Generation, handling both public and private tenders/projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Mechanical Project Manager will coordinate mechanical design, collaborate with consultants and subcontractors.
• Supervise the progress of work.
• Prepare the project programme, including delivery strategy, and ensure project milestones are met.
• Ensure smooth and timely flow of information between all parties involved.
• Identify and address potential bottlenecks and delays proactively.
• Keep stakeholders informed about progress, costs, and relevant issues.
• Review project scope, manage budget and schedule.
• Perform cost analysis as required.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Manage safety and quality aspects in accordance with company procedures.
• Negotiate valuations and final accounts with contractors and subcontractors.
• Review issues to promote continuous improvement.

Necessary skills and requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager.
• 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a strong trades background.
• Strong technical background in contracting is essential.
• Proven track record in Electrical/Mechanical fundamentals.
• Experience managing projects exceeding €30/£25 million, preferably in Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Industrial, or Commercial sectors.
• Strong operational skills, attention to detail, and experience with the design-build process.
• Good presentation and management skills.
• Excellent written communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in Data Centres is essential.
• Previous experience managing projects circa €20m.
• Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project.
• Eligibility to work in Europe (work visas/permits are not provided).
