Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical/Piping Inspector and play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of mechanical systems within the energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite in Brunsbuttel, Germany, contributing to innovative projects that power the future.

Role Overview

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical and piping systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Identify and document any non-conformances or deficiencies in mechanical installations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in the development of inspection plans and schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams.
  • Participate in safety audits and promote a culture of safety on site.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Mechanical Expertise: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and piping standards.
  • Inspection Proficiency: Experience in conducting inspections and assessments.
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective collaboration.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to inspections and documentation.

Education & Experience
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in mechanical inspection or quality assurance are advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical or piping inspection within the energy sector.

Requirements
  • Piping needs to be PCN (PCN (Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing) or CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Welding and Inspection Personnel)
  • At least B2 German and Fluent English
  • Knowledge of German construction regulation, codes and standards
