Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical General Laborer to join our team located at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

This position involves physical labor at a construction site, using hand and power tools. Responsibilities include assisting other craft workers, cleaning and preparing sites, removing rubble and debris, and operating power construction equipment as needed. All tasks must be performed following safety practices to support RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ Construction values employee growth; therefore, on-the-job training and certifications are provided based on project needs. Prevailing wages will be paid for work on a military installation.

Pay Range: $18.00-22.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• At least one year of field or trade work experience in commercial construction; government, military, or large commercial experience is preferred.
• Forklift certification and experience in logistics, warehouse, or residential work are a plus.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications are required.
• Additional training or certificates in forklift/manlift operation, fall protection, scissor lift/boom lift operation, and OSHA 10-hour are preferred.
