Your profile
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Solid academic achievement, strong interpersonal skills & commitment along with the equivalence of a minimum of 4 years experience in related fields.
Detailed knowledge of design and engineering specific to rotating equipment is a definite asset.
Good communication and organization skills, including attention to detail.
Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
Must be capable of multi-tasking, self-motivated and have the ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment.
Good design drafting skills in Parametric Design programs such as SolidWorks (preferred) will be an asset.

Your mission
You will be responsible for the design and/or all manufacturing aspects of electric submersible motors, as well as a variety of related peripheral equipment engineering tasks. Previous experience with rotating equipment, especially motors used in high temperature (bottom hole temperature up to 200C) and high power (over 2000kW) applications of Electric Submersible Pumping (ESP) systems will be an advantage. Foreign references are welcome. Knowledge of SolidWorks, Poli-Works and experience of working with 3D scanners would be an added advantage. This position requires good project management skills as part of the role will involve working with the University on research and development projects.
