About You

Your Key Responsibilities & Attributes:

  • Design and develop mechanical components for navigation systems, including precision mechanics, control units, connection boxes, antennas, and sensor installations
  • Optimize designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability
  • Create technical documentation and drawings for production and supplier communication
  • Contribute to requirement specifications and test plans
  • Coordinate environmental testing with external labs
  • Prepare cost estimates and assist in project planning
  • Manage CAD and document systems, implement and approve changes, and support continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar, with relevant experience
  • Experience in mechanical system design and familiarity with standards
  • Proficient in CAD (especially Inventor) in 2D and 3D
  • Experience with ERP and document management systems
  • Knowledge of maritime gyrocompasses, navigational gauges, steering, and autopilot systems is a plus
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
