Overview

Are you a skilled mechanical design engineer ready to support innovative industrial projects? We’re looking for a technically strong, self-driven Freelance Mechanical Designer to contribute to exciting machinery and product development initiatives across Germany.

Rate Negotiable Per/Hour in €

Location Hybrid based in Bavaria

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Conduct tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA reviews, and basic stress calculations.
• Prepare BOMs (Bills of Materials) and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external fabricators.
• Implement feedback from design reviews and support prototyping if required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design (preferably for industrial machinery, automation, or equipment)
• Proficient in SolidWorks / Inventor / Siemens NX / CATIA / Creo
• Ideally Fluent in German and English.
