Job summary

NRL is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager for a major project in Frankfurt, Germany. The role is positioned as a freelance/independent contractor role with responsibility for overseeing complex mechanical construction activities and ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading mechanical construction on large EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, piping, utilities and building services.
• Experience in regulated sectors (pharma, biotech, life sciences, or data centers).
• Proven ability to manage mechanical contractors through construction, turnover and commissioning.
• Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with Germany work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee mechanical construction activities across project scope.

• Support construction planning, work sequencing, and look-ahead planning.

• Provide regular progress reporting and risk identification.

• Track record of managing mechanical contractors through construction, completion, and turnover phases.
• Experience with Mechanical Completion and Commissioning processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working in Germany.
