Zusammenfassung

GER ManTech seeks a Mechanic Technician to support the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) team. The role involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of military vehicles. This position requires strong automotive maintenance skills, a strong background in troubleshooting, and a valid Germany/E.U. Work Visa.

Qualifikationen

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mechanic Technician to join our Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) team. The selected candidate will assist in providing sustainment support services (operational engineering and logistics support) globally for some 25,000 vehicles including the Army's Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, or MRAPs.

  • Selected candidates without an ACTIVE German / E.U. Work Visa will be required to work the first 90 days in a Temporary role while obtaining their Visa. Once an E.U. Work Visa is approved, then you will be offered a Full-Time German Contract. If accepted, then you will be subjected to paying German taxes, obtaining German Healthcare, and working within the guidelines of the German labor system.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Proven maintenance, repair and technical experience in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance, or military operations or maintenance.
  • Rebuilding or overhauling major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
  • Replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

  • Must obtain or already have an active Germany / E.U. Work VISA to be considered.
  • 6+ years of qualified automotive maintenance experience.
  • Experience with light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft, or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicles.
  • Proven maintenance experience with repair and technical support, background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance, or military operations or maintenance.
  • Experience with maintenance support including operations, troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to the component level.
  • Experience with hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
  • Ability to apply industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to isolate faulty system components.
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to meet government deployment physical requirements, if needed.
  • Possession of a valid European or German driver’s license or the ability to obtain one before employment begins.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Existing German or European Work VISA is preferred.
  • Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems is preferable.
  • Familiarity with MRAP / RCV systems.
  • Willingness to travel to hostile areas and various US or OCONUS locations, including Southwest Asia and South-Central Asia.
  • Deployment to risky environments may qualify for larger bonuses.

Security Clearance Requirements :

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a (DoD) Public Trust clearance.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch, and kneel.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, and work in high noise areas.
  • Lift 50 lbs and small parts.
  • Work with computers and CRTs, and type on a keyboard.
