MEAL Officer (Health) – National Position

Malteser International (MI) is the international humanitarian relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta. For over 60 years, we have been providing relief and recovery for people affected by conflicts and disasters worldwide. Our work is based on Christian values and humanitarian principles. We operate in over 30 countries across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, supporting people regardless of religion, origin, or political beliefs.

Since 2014, MI has been registered in Türkiye and has established offices in Kilis and Gaziantep. Our team provides technical guidance and manages partner-implemented projects in Türkiye and Northern Syria. We handle procurement of medical supplies, reporting, quality assurance, and strategic objectives include strengthening civil society structures in Türkiye and Syria, focusing on health, livelihood, protection, and social cohesion.

We are seeking a motivated MEAL Officer – National Position to support project success by designing monitoring plans aligned with project goals, collaborating with partners to enhance accountability, and improving data quality. The role involves conducting assessments, contributing to reports, and fostering a learning environment to enhance project impact.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing monitoring plans with partners.
  • Providing technical support on monitoring and evaluation best practices.
  • Assessing and improving partner accountability.
  • Addressing monitoring challenges and updating the learning system.
  • Reviewing reports, ensuring data quality, and contributing to project reports.
  • Evaluating partner performance.
  • Managing M&E plans and storing project documents properly.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Public Health, or related fields.
  • At least 4 years of experience in designing and implementing MEAL systems in humanitarian or development projects.
  • Experience in health projects is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic or Turkish is an advantage.
