An innovative research institute is seeking a talented individual to advance the field of quantum machine learning and causal inference. This role involves developing hybrid algorithms for anomaly detection, implementing software solutions, and collaborating with diverse project teams. The successful candidate will contribute to groundbreaking research and publish findings in prestigious journals and conferences. Join a forward-thinking team dedicated to transforming complex data into actionable insights and driving advancements in various application areas. If you are passionate about data science and eager to make a significant impact, this opportunity is perfect for you.
At the Institute of Data Science in Jena, we are working on making the data backbone a reality for all DLR application areas (aeronautics, space, energy, transport, security). To this end, we develop and research methods in interdisciplinary work focusing on applications such as sustainable and circular processes, resilient supply chains, data-driven value chains, or robust decision support. The methods developed are applied in cooperation with other DLR institutes and external partners, either as part of joint projects or technology transfer activities.
The research and development work of the Data Analysis and Intelligence department aims to generate knowledge from data and develop a deeper understanding of complex data sets and processes. We develop data-driven approaches to gain insights and make informed decisions—"Knowledge from Data".
In the "Causal Inference" working group, our goal is to contribute to a data-driven understanding of complex dynamic processes. We develop and apply methods and software from causal inference and statistical learning, with a focus on time series data. Additionally, we develop algorithms from quantum machine learning.
