Job description
Tasks
- Coordinating test requirements with internal stakeholders and creating test orders
- Sample preparation: embedding, grinding, polishing, microscopy
- Performing physical-chemical laboratory tests (e.g.DSC, DMA, TMA, rheometry, IR spectroscopy)
- Analysis of composite materials (e.g. fiber volume content, media exposure, corrosion testing)
- Documentation and report writing in accordance with ISO 17025 (quality management system)
- If suitable: conducting technical investigations in the laboratory galvanic area
- Supporting failure analyses and assisting in the creation and maintenance of internal test instructions
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a materials tester, technician, lab assistant, or equivalent
OR
Completed degree in materials science, chemistry, aerospace engineering, composites, or a related field - Several years of professional experience in lab work, materials testing and engineering
- In-depth knowledge of material analysis, destructive testing, and operation of servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical test machines
- Very good MS Office skills; experience with Google Workspace is a plus
- Fluent in German and English (minimum C1 level in both)
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is strictly required
- CV in English is mandatory
